Bike rental for all our guests
We are genuinely proud of our bike rental service, which has even received a label from Tourism Flanders. So when you come camping here, you don’t always have to bring your own bike to enjoy a virtuous bike ride. At Camping Groeneveld, we have extensive cycling facilities. Moreover, our campsite is situated amidst various cycling routes, allowing you to hop on a bike and set off immediately! Of course, you are also more than welcome with your own bicycle! What’s more, especially for campers who travel by bike, we have provided some hiker’s huts.
Bike rental: standard bicycles and e-bikes
Camping Groeneveld is recognized by Tourism Flanders and has been awarded the ‘Bike-Friendly Accommodation’ label. This label ensures that our campsite meets the following conditions to make your holiday as comfortable as possible:
- Located no more than 5 km from a bike route or network.
- We are bike-minded and rent out bicycles, including helmets.
- We provide cycling maps and tourist information.
- A decent bicycle storage facility.
- A repair kit and first aid kit.
- Accommodation for one night for cyclists.
Additionally, we have the following advantages:
- Free bicycle rental for all guests.
- NEW: E-bikes are now available for rent. (For a fee.)
- Do you want to be transported to a starting location with the e-bike? That’s possible! This allows you to explore the region even more extensively.
Cycling routes and bicycle tourism
Within a 10 km radius af the campsite, there are no less than 14 cycling routes you can join. Not only are we located near the beautiful forests surrounding the castle of Ooidonk, there is much more to explore: cycling routes along the Leie, through the Nevele area, the Zwalm region in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes, or even in bicycle-friendly Ghent.
